Summary

Within the framework of a model-independent effective field theory strategies will be established and explored  on how to extract properties of scattering states from finite size lattice data through a combination of MC simulations and use of finite-volume methods. Key issues are: The identification of the observables in a finite volume that can be consistently extracted from lattice data; the definition of a framework that allows for a uniquely “translation” of the finite-volume data to observables defined in the infinite volume; Extension of the single-channel case, treated in the frst funding period, to the multi-channel case and establishing optimal strategies for lattice computations.
