Precision calculations in hadronic physics

Summary

We plan to use the expertise accumulated within the CRC to improve on searches for physics beyond Standard Model (BSM) in high-precision low- to medium-energy experiments. This concerns strong interaction effects in the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon but also bounds on masses and couplings of new particles, such as those predicted by supersymmetry, to be obtained a modern description of decays involving hadrons in the final state. We also intend to investigate signals of new operators in Standard-Model-suppressed decays such as flavor-changing neutral currents, many of which involve hadrons, implying state-of-the-art non-perturbative hadron physics calculations.
