Quarkonium interactions in hadronic and nuclear matter

Summary

In this project we focus on heavy quark bound states and we aim at studying their production, propagation, scattering and dissociation in nuclear and hadronic environments. In the second phase of this project we want to take advantage of the results that we obtained in the first period of the project and of the advancements that took place in the last few years in the construction of nonrelativistic effective field theories (EFTs) in a medium [46] as well as of the progress in lattice calculations, to achieve a QCD based description of these processes and make contact and be of guidance to the experimental investigations.
