Hadronic molecules with heavy meson loops

While in the previous funding period we concentrated on identifying candidates for and key properties of hadronic molecules in heavy quarkonia, in the present period we will shift our activities towards the construction and implication of an effective field theory describing the non–perturbative interaction of meson pairs, in close analogy to the effective field theory for nuclei for which a lot of expertise is present within the CRC. We aim at a level of accuracy that will allow us not only to describe the masses and decay properties of the existing states, but also to predict additional states yet to be discovered making use of both SU(3)–flavor- , heavy quark spin- and flavor symmetries.
